If the kitchen sink is slow at the same time, the problem is the drain line rather than the dishwasher. If the sink is fine and the machine holds water, it's the appliance or its installation.
It changes the visit as well as the parts. An integrated machine takes longer to withdraw, its door assembly parts are different, and any leak needs checking behind the plinth — because on an integrated unit, water goes into the cabinetry rather than onto the floor, where you'd see it.

The drain hose should rise before it falls to its connection. Without it, sink water can siphon back into the machine — producing standing water and smells that no part replacement will fix.
If your dishwasher drains through a disposal, that inlet ships sealed and must be knocked out during installation. If a disposal was fitted recently and the dishwasher suddenly won't drain, check this first.
Water is escaping and you can't stop it, the machine is overfilling, or there's sparking or a burning smell. Switch it off at the wall and close the supply valve.
Any sign of hidden water around an integrated machine — a musty smell from the units, a swollen plinth, or flooring that feels soft near it.
It won't drain and the filter, hose, and knockout plug are all clear.
A rack tine has broken, one programme has stopped, or a display element has failed.
